Weakly acidic cation exchanger

is a strongly basic anion exchanger based on →  Bead Cellulose with 3-trimethylamino-2-hydroxypropyl- groups:

Chemical Structure

Its total volume capacity can move in the range 0.1 to 0.4 mmol/ml, adequate mass capacity is 0.6 to 0.8 mmol/g dry matter. According to customer's demand the sorbent volume capacity can be varied in the range given by the mass capacity and water content. Water content moves in connection with the volume capacity in the range 53 to 81 %.

Iontosorb TMAHP can be used for chromatographic separations of proteins, nucleotides and other biological substances. It has also been used in preparation of ultra-pure water and sorption of humic acids from water.
